We’re taking part in the Great British Rowing Weekend! 🚣♂️
On the 8th of September, we’ll be opening our doors to give our local community the chance to discover what’s so special about our sport - and to give it a go!
With the Team GB Rowing Squad having their best ever performance at an overseas games (and bringing home 8 medals!), we know there are lots of people who’d like to try out rowing, so come on down to our club this weekend and see what it’s all about!
For Adults and Juniors. All welcome, whether you are new to the sport or wish to return to rowing.
Come and have a "Taste" of Rowing at our Open Day and feel the warmth of a Weybridge RC welcome. We will teach you the basic movements on a rowing machine (ergo) first and then take you out on the river in a coxed boat with some experienced club members so you can gain an insight into the sport. We will also be running an ergo competition throughout the day for those who would like to take part.
There will then be an opportunity to find out about our "Learn to Row" courses and our "Return to Row" courses.
Refreshments available and a small charge will be made for homemade cakes.
