Hi All,
We are a group of students from De Montfort University and Bath Spa University rowing clubs that want to help raise money for the NHS in these challenging times.
The idea of a lockdown regatta began with DMU Rowing Club holding a virtual BUCS regatta to raise money for MIND. This event had 13 different universities competing over three days, and managed to raise over £800 for our chosen charity. Due to the success of this event and the large amount of interest we had from other clubs we want to open it up to the whole rowing community.
On the Bank Holiday weekend (23rd-25th May) we are going to hold a National Regatta in support of NHS Charities Together, and we would love you to join us. The idea is for the members of each crew to run individually and their combined times determine the position of the boat.
The weekend will run as follows:
Saturday 23rd May – A 2km running time trial will be held for all competitors in each category. We will then take averages of the crews time to seed the fastest in the finals.
Sunday 24th May – The C/D finals will take place with 6 crews in each final.
Monday 25th May – The A/B finals will take place and the Victor Ludorum will be announced.
To record the times competitors must join the Lockdown Regatta Strava group

Race Leader have generously offered to help us to run this regatta smoothly. Competitors will be asked to submit their times via the Race Leader website with a link to their Strava run. All results will then be announced on the website at the end of each day.
Eights, Quads/Fours, Doubles/Pairs and Singles can be entered. This regatta is all about supporting those who are on the front line making huge sacrifices to keep us safe. So we have made a JustGiving page where we suggest a £5 donation per seat as your entry fee.
The following age categories can be entered:

J18 WJ18 Women’s
